New Country Home

Built in 2003, this lovely home presides over a series of terraced garden “rooms” that seem to flow down the sloping hillside to the pool below. Terraces are connected by a cascading system of bluestone steps, lawn terraces and native stone walls. Landscaping was completed in the fall of 2004, and includes many species of dwarf flowering shrubs, specimen trees, ornamental grasses, perennials and annuals.
The gardens were designed by Craig Okerstrom-Lang, RLA, ASLA, Landscape Architect in close collaboration with the owners. Okerstrom Lang also completed the construction management of all above and below grade elements of the gardens, swimming pool and hardscape.
The stunning Pergola, designed by William Caligari, Interior Designer, is constructed of barn timbers and has a bamboo grill for shade. It is planted with mixed vines including Dutchman Pipe, Five-leaf Akebia and Morning Glory.
North of the Pergola is the “orchard” consisting of Floribunda Crabapple Trees.
